"You're sure Bertha is not the problem?" asked Precious

What do you hope children and/or their parents will take away from reading this story? My goal is to write with a grace-orientation that teaches children to think biblically. We must be careful not to reduce Scripture to a code of behaviors. We must not take a moralistic approach to Scripture. I hope that this book will help parents challenge children with the life-changing adventure of discovering Jesus in all of God's Word.

I also hope that this book will help children see glimpses of what it means to live covenantally--to live in a way that reflects our redemption to our families, friends, and neighbors. I hope they will have a greater love for the flock, the Church of the Lord Jesus, and a greater zeal to serve the flock. Our local Church is to look like a flock who trusts the Good Shepherd, even in the dark places. Our local Church is to be a place where we love each other because our Shepherd first loved us. This story is not just about Sammy and his shepherd; it is also about Sammy and the other sheep. So is the gospel.

Is there anything you would like to say to adults who will read this book to children? Thank you for loving children enough to read to them. The coziness of sitting together with a good book, and the familiarity of hearing your voice read and reread a favorite story, create hearty memories. When the book points a child to the Savior, the experience is eternally significant.

More than 600 million people speak Hindi, making it the third most-spoken language in the world and the most-spoken language in India. Newly Translated Crucial Questions Booklets

Nepali editions of Dr. Sproul’s Crucial Questions titles What Is the Gospel? and Who Is the Holy Spirit? have been released. Nepal is a Hindu-majority country with a small but growing Christian population. Additionally, What Is Faith? has been released in Amharic, making it Ligonier’s first publication in this East African language. Bulgaria is a small former Soviet bloc nation in Eastern Europe with a high abortion rate, and we are partnering with publishers seeking to promote teaching that highlights the sanctity of life.

Living for God’s Glory: Now Available in Romanian

Dr. Joel Beeke’s book Living for God’s Glory: An Introduction to Calvinism was recently published in Romanian. Around ten percent of the population of Romania, a former Soviet country in eastern Europe, is now thought to be Protestant. In Priest with Dirty ClothesThe Priest with Dirty Clothes, R.C. Sproul teaches the concept of imputation, which lies at the heart of the important biblical doctrine of justification. Using the story of Joshua the high priest (Zechariah 3:1–5) as his jumping-off point, Dr. Sproul weaves a classic tale about a young priest who is invited to preach his first sermon before the king and his court. Princes Poison CupThe Prince's Poison Cup is the story of a little girl, Ella, who is sick and must take yucky medicine to make her well. She puts the question to Grandpa who tells her the story of atonement and the terrible price that Jesus had to pay for our redemption by being willing to drink that awful cup. LightlingsThe Lightlings weaves an allegorical tale that captures the essence of the biblical story of redemption in a manner that will fascinate and delight children. A race of tiny beings known as lightlings are a picture of humanity as they pass through all the stages of the biblical drama -- creation, fall, and redemption. The Lightlings is an excellent introduction to the key themes of Scriptures and is also available as an animatic DVD.

In The King Without a Shadow, Dr. Sproul tells of a king who hears of another King - one so great He casts no shadow. The first king embarks on a search for the Great King, a search that leads to a bearded prophet called The Man of the Cave.
